La senda mística de Paso Ancho
“UNA CALLE DONDE LA POSICIÓN DE LA TIERRA A SU ALREDEDOR PROYECTA UNA INTENSA ILUSIÓN ÓPTICA, UNA MUY SUTIL LADERA HACIA ABAJO PARECE SER UNA SOBRESALIENTE CUESTA HACIA ARRIBA, EN OTROS LUGARES, INCLUSO LOS ARROYOS ASEMEJAN FLUIR EN CONTRA DE LA GRAVEDAD”
En el mundo hay maravillosas historias situadas en diferentes lugares, protagonizadas por vestigios de carácter misterioso, algo que para los pobladores de Paso Ancho, un pequeño pueblo en el Distrito de Tierras Altas en el país de Panamá, ubicado en las faldas del lado Oeste del maravilloso Volcán Barú, no sigue siendo una simple historia más, ya que en este pueblo existen dos lugares los cuales llaman mucho la atención, son las llamadas Lomas Magnéticas, lomas imantadas, colinas anti gravitatorias o las famosas Lomas Mágicas, las cuales de manera muy impresionante hacen que los carros en punto muerto suban en lugar de bajar, esto hace que muchas personas vengan de muchos lugares a experimentar este fenómeno tan inusual. En distintos países, estas lomas han llegado a ser muy famosas. De hecho, la corriente de diferentes explicaciones ha logrado considerar diferentes hipótesis junto con las homogeneidades de mitos y leyendas vs la ciencia y la geografía.
(Algunos guías en paso ancho afirman que el efecto es un misterio o que se debe a anomalías magnéticas o gravitacionales; o incluso que se trata de un fenómeno paranormal que la ciencia no puede explicar)(en otros países hay historias que afirman que personas murieron en estas lomas y desde entonces molestan a los que pasan empujando sus carros para alejarlos del lugar) un tramo de carretera en la zona montañosa donde se oculta el horizonte, hace que ubicar la pendiente cueste mucho, ya que requerimos la referencia del panorama. Entonces es probable que pensemos que lo que está alrededor (árboles, paredes) están en posición vertical, haciendo una irreal perspectiva o ilusión óptica que hace que un ligero descenso parezca una pendiente cuesta arriba. Pero aun cuando se entiende el efecto, puede ser difícil de creer, y cuando la ilusión se produce de manera espacial, a menudo se convierte en una increíble atracción turística.
Un estudio realizado por la facultad de ciencias de la universidad de colima concluyó que en estos segmentos “no existen anomalías de ningún tipo” que contradigan las leyes físicas sobre la caída libre de los cuerpos. De acuerdo a la universidad, los resultados de las medidas tomadas “serían los esperados en cualquier otra parte”. Por lo que concluyeron que “es una ilusión óptica producida por la obstrucción del horizonte).
Sea cierto o no, que por magia, magnetismo o ilusión óptica, a estas lomas se les conoce por encerrar enigmas de una carretera que reta a la gravedad. Sea cual sea la respuesta, está ubicada en paso ancho, a pocos metros después de la caseta de control de mi ambiente, un lugar impresionante que te recomendamos visitar, quizás salgas volando por la gravedad, o quizás recibas la ayuda de algún antepasado, pero sin duda es un lugar que debes conocer.
Exhortamos a la autoridad de turismo de panamá, cámara de turismo de tierras altas, bio turismo Tierras Altas y guías de la zona a que promuevan este sitio único con ilusión óptica, para que más personas tengan la oportunidad de visitarla (en el 2011 en México, 162 mil personas visitaron la loma mágica de Comala, donde hubo un incremento de casi el doble de personas comparado con el 2001 cuando solamente 70 mil turistas habían visitado la zona).
